    Enhancing tourist's experience in tourism by developing of augmented reality on Penang's street art
    This study aims to enhance tourist's experience in tourism by the development of an Augmented Reality on Penang's street art. The problem statement of this project is the lack of information on street art and facing the difficulty to preserve street art. The objectives of this study are to preserve the cultural heritage of Penang's street art through Augmented Reality and developing an animated augmented reality with text, music, and graphics. This hope helps in educating and enhancing tourist's experience with Penang's street art. The product is developed through Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Unity3D. The methodology of this research project is qualitative and uses Alessi and Trollip Model as a reference in the development of the project. An interview was conducted with few of multimedia expert that relates to animation, augmented reality and design. The results show that the research objective of this study was successfully achieved. Augmented Reality application provides a new experience for tourists in their search of street art in Penang to learn more about the history of Penang and to experience enhanced tourism. Through the interview, the respondents were satisfied with this augmented reality application in enhancing Penang's street art.

    Use of interactive video based on motion graphics to create awareness on handling stress
    The development of the interactive video based on motion graphic is to spread awareness to the people about the appropriate ways to handle stress. This is because many people face stress in daily life, but they do not know the correct way to manage and handling the stress. An interactive based on motion graphic used as the medium due to easy to understand and able to attract the patient's attention. The model used to develop this product is Alessi and Trollip Model. The model contains 3 phases which are planning, design and development phase. Alpha test is conducted to test the effectiveness of the product and to make sure that the objectives of the project are achieved. The test is conducted by interviewing a multimedia expert, a content expert and 5 users which are students that reside at Kolej Kediaman Tuanku Fauziah (PFi2). The results obtained from conducting this test were positive as the feedback from the users suggests that the information given in this video is relevant and useful thus, help them to manage their stress. In this research, interactive multimedia learning based on motion graphic is effective toward the improvement of people to manage their stress in digital format.

    Penyampaian maklumat melalui pembangunan video interaktif
    Langkawi terkenal sebagai destinasi percutian. Terdapat pelbagai tawaran pelancongan yang disediakan di sana. Penduduk tempatan boleh mendapat manfaat bersama dengan dapat menyediakan rumah tumpangan. Namun begitu, apabila wujudnya begitu banyak hotel, saingan menjadi meningkat. Mereka sukar memasarkan perkhidmatan rumah tumpangan. Selain itu, pelancong berasa selesa dengan penggunaan peta walaupun ianya mempunyai saiz fizikal besar untuk dibawa ke mana-mana. Inisiatif penyelidik dalam membangunkan video interaktif adalah supaya memudahkan pelancong untuk akses ke tempat yang ingin dituju hanya melalui gadget masing masing. Model reka bentuk dan pembangunan Alessi dan Trollip telah digunakan bagi pembangunan video interaktif. Satu penilaian dilakukan bagi mendapatkan maklum balas video. Hasilnya merupakan pendapat dan penambah baikan bagi video interaktif ini.

    Tamil books are less accessible among Indian community due to its less demand. People less aware about Tamil books, thus MG Bookstore mobile application is developed to promote the MG Bookstore among people. Mobile application is the appropriate medium for online business in order to reach people and easily. MG Bookstore mobile application is developed for every age of people, but it is only applicable for Android users. In order to attract the buyers, researcher added free reading feature in the MG Bookstore mobile application, which is barely to find in other online business mobile application. Researcher designed and developed this MG Bookstore mobile application by using Buildfire software. Researcher runs the usability test by conducting interview and questionnaire. Researcher also seeks for media experts' and content expert's advices and suggestions to enhance the features of this mobile application. In conclusion, researcher concludes that MG Bookstore mobile application is applicable for everyone and helps the MG Bookstore to expand their business by reaching more people through it.

    Laman sesawang interaktif dibangunkan untuk dijadikan sebagai platform pencarian taska berlesen yang ada di kawasan Perlis bagi membantu golongan ibu bapa yang sibuk bekerja dan memerlukan pengasuh yang bertauliah dan taska yang mempunyai ciri-ciri keselamatan yang lengkap dan mencukupi. Selain itu, masa dan tenaga serta kos dapat dikurangkan kerana ibu bapa hanya perlu mencari secara atas talian tanpa perlu berasa ragu akan kredibiliti taska tersebut. Pembangunan laman sesawang interaktif ini menggunakan aplikasi yang dipanggil Wix, iaitu sebuah aplikasi untuk membangunkan perisian sistem seperti membangunkan laman sesawang dan juga laman sesawang interaktif. Uji lari yang dijalankan ke atas laman sesawang interaktif ini setelah fungsi utamanya boleh beroperasi adalah uji lari Alpha dan juga uji lari Beta. Dua orang pakar multimedia dijadikan sebagai responden kepada uji lari Alpha, manakala seramai 30 orang responden bagi uji lari Beta. Berdasarkan hasil kajian yang didapati, kebanyakan responden memberi respon yang positif dan memberi komen serta cadangan yang boleh dilakukan untuk menambahbaik laman sesawang interaktif yang sedia ada dengan fungsi yang lain.

    Social enterprise for school dropouts through digital lifestyles : adapting from USA success stories
    Digital lifestyle has become a culture that each and every of us has to adopt and adapt to. The stability of Malaysia’s economy makes the quality of its citizen’s education and standard of living improve along with the income ranks. On the other hand, there is still a huge problem with regards to the school dropouts that influence the quality of life and social impact in Malaysia. These school dropouts should be exposed to self-regulating and self-employing so that they can be independent and able to move forward themselves away from the perils of crime. By manipulating the current digital lifestyles, majority of the school dropouts are familiar with the Information and Communication technology (ICT), the Internet and mobile gadgets. This paper recommends that the Malaysian authorities should come out with a prototype of the business model of Social Enterprise (SE) in order to deal with school dropouts that prefer to run business online as their income to support their lives. Some adaptation from the successful SE in the United States of America (USA) could be adapted in order to match with the Malaysian scenarios. The authorities might also work out spin-off businesses through provision of seed funds, including from interested private sectors, to these youths.

    Variation of Stress Intensity Factor and Strain Energy Release Rate in Human Cortical Bone Using Finite Element Analysis
    Finite element analysis is an alternative way to study human fracture behaviour as the technology is a leading innovation in biomechanics field. The aim of this study is to analyse the strain intensity factor and strain energyrelease rate when three-point bending test and tensile test were applied on a two-dimensional cortical bone model developed and tested using finite element software, Ansys. K values gained from Data Extrapolation Method (DEM) through Ansys for three-point bending test were compared with CINT method, Hiroshi Tada’s and Allan F. Bower’s theoretical expression while K values from DEM were only been compared with CINT method for tensile test. Meanwhile, J-integral values were obtained through CINT method using Ansys and analysed with different crack-to-width ratios and loads. As a result, stress intensity factor increased as crack-to-width ratio increased and strain energy release rate also increased as crack-to-width ratio and loads increased. It can be concluded that finite element analysis can be used to study the fracture behaviour of human cortical bone.

    Effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube loading on the dielectric properties of polylactic acid
    Dielectric materials which capable to store charges are constantly being developed and improved for electronic applications such as in microelectronic integrated circuits (ICs). In this study, polylactic acid (PLA)/multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composites are prepared and their dielectric properties are investigated. PLA/MWCNT composites have PLA as the matrix and MWCNT as filler with a loading of 1 wt%. The composites are porous composites achieved by using solvent casting and particulate leaching (SCPL) method. A frequency range of 1 kHz to 1 MHz is applied to measure the dielectric properties at room temperature. The PLA/MWCNT composites are categorized as low-k dielectric materials looking at the results of the dielectric test.
