PublicationAn inductive approach in studying green innovation in government-linked companiesThis paper is focusing on the research method to study of top management leadership attributes in implementing green innovation in Government-linked Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia. This paper will discuss on the paradigm and research design being selected for the study. Green innovation has been determined as one of many ways to promote sustainability development around the world. It has been an urge to go into “green” direction due to the environment issues. There are government policy and customers’ pressures which corporate strategy of organizations has to change accordingly to fit into the situation. Therefore it is the interest of the researchers to inductively study how the top management leadership contributes towards green innovation diffusion in the GLCs.

Buku ini secara khusus mengetengahkan elemen pembelajaran yang berkesan seperti pengurusan masa, kemahiran generik, dan kemahiran membuat peta minda yang perlu dikuasai oleh pelajar dalam pembelajaran semasa di universiti. Panduan-panduan ini depat memudahkan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, meningkatkan kemahiran dalam pembelajaran dan menimbulkan keseronokan ketika belajar. Kebanyakkan teknik-teknik yang diketengahkan ini juga merupakan yang terkini dalam proses pembelajaran berkesan dan terbukti dapat membantu pelajar menjadi pelajar cemerlang, gemilang dan terbilang. Adalah diharapkan agar buku belajar secara kreatif ini sedikit sebanyak dapat membantu dan membuka minda para pelajar agar mereka bersikap lebih kreatif dan terbuka dalam proses pembelajaran mereka, bukan hanya semata-mata bergantung kepada apa yang diajar dan diberikan oleh pensyarah sahaja.1 28 -
PublicationFuture leaders in reshaping an organization(Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), 2010-11-12)
;Mohd Faizal Mohd Isa ; ;Salmah Ayub ; ;It is the interest of the researchers to find how the benchmarking of the future leaders is done in the Government-linked Companies GLCs. A mixed method approach has been selected as the research strategy to study the issues under investigation and the relationship between them. Six interviews with prominent experts are carried out to gather the items for the questionnaire. Then sets of constructed questionnaire are distributed to the managerial staff of Universiti Malaysia Perlis as a pilot study. To gather the data from GLCs, three Government-linked Investment Companies (GLICs) and fifteen GLCs have been identified as the samples. Then an interview with a prominent statesman is carried out, and a focus group discussion with the top management representatives are conducted to support the survey. The findings of the study indicate that the choice for future leadership dimensions are traits, behaviours, performance functions, competence, skills and background. These six leadership dimensions qualities are desired in GLCs as the future leaders are expected to use their best endeavours to prompt or reshape the organizations.1 -
PublicationHow the sports' leadership anticipate Instagram as an effective communication tool in managing football club( 2020-06-17)
;Zakaria, Fatin Nur Azila ;This study is aim to understand how the Instagram application being used as an effective communication tool for the Manager of Kelantan State's football team or famously known as The Red Warriors (TRW) to manage the football team. The TRW is chosen because it was the first State football team in Malaysia that led by a female manager. The researchers reveal that the content posts in the Instagram can influence the readers to follow the Instagram and how they react towards all posts. Therefore, the researchers monitor the TRW manager's Instagram account every day for one month to see how she anticipate the Instagram as one of the effective communication tool in managing the TRW. They also explore the visual identity of the content and observe the feedback received with regards to the content post in the manager's Instagram account to manage her TRW. Using the content analysis research approach, this study find that it is very effective communication tool when the contents has visual identity impact based from the type of feedbacks received from followers. This study shows that the sport leadership does a good choice to use Instagram as main effective communication tool where direct communication process happen in place between the manager and her followers on Instagram. The results of the study also show that contents with video status get more feedbacks compare to pictures and some deficiencies in feedbacks have been identified based on the visual identity elements outlined in this study.20 1 -

Despite limited understanding, the study aims to unveil the potential benefits of this integration and assess the current state of technology adoption, bioeconomic practices, and sustainable farming in Malaysia. Challenges faced by Malaysian farmers, such as awareness gaps and resistance to change, are identified, and strategies, including targeted education and financial incentives, are proposed to overcome these barriers. While acknowledging potential limitations in universality due to data access constraints and the dynamic nature of technology and agriculture, the study emphasizes the importance of integrating these innovative approaches to propel Malaysian agriculture toward sustainability within the Agriculture 4.0 framework.29 4 -

Hence, Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia has to follow the green implementation trends in doing businesses either locally or globally. This study explores the perception of the top management in GLCs towards green innovation implementation in their organizations, and the reason of the implemention for the compacies that already employ the green innovation. This is a multiple case studies where the organizations selected are according to the categories of the GLCs industries. Data are collected from the interviews conducted with the top managers of the GLCs at their offices. The findings show that green innovation is implemented by the top management direction where they make the current organizational frugal innovation into green. The implementation outcome provides the GLCs with organizational sustainability through the image, branding and more green projects in the future as they are being the leader in their industries.25 2 -
PublicationDemographic disparities in 5G technology adoption among paddy farmers in Kedah: a comprehensive study( 2024-03)

It also addresses the challenge of equitable 5G technology adoption and explores how demographic factors such as gender, age, ethnicity, and income levels influence adoption patterns. A mixed-methods approach, comprising surveys, interviews, and field observations, is employed to collect data from a diverse sample of farmers. The study utilizes theoretical frameworks related to automation, productivity, and connectivity to analyze the impact of 5G technology on agricultural practices. Only descriptive analysis of demographic characteristics will be reported after the survey is conducted using a questionnaire through the What'sApp application. The research reveals significant gender imbalances in adoption rates, with implications for equitable access to technological advancements. It also highlights the influence of age and income on adoption patterns. The study underscores the importance of tailored strategies to ensure the adoption of inclusive 5G technology in the agricultural sector.2 20 -
PublicationAn insight into the influence of HRM practices on employees’ satisfaction in the manufacturing company( 2021-10)

A business that integrates a harmonious employer-employee relationship leads to an ideal path, driving a successful and profitable venture. Principal role of a company’s management is to develop and manage the human capital element, taking care of employees’ welfare, considering their resourcefulness in terms of knowledge and skills for effectively contributing to the organisational’s objectives. There are several attributes that link and influence employees with job satisfaction. The objective of this research study is to examine the link and influence of human resource management (HRM) practices, such as training, compensation, safety & health, and performance appraisal, on job satisfaction among employees in a manufacturing company located in Kulim, Kedah. A total of 328 employee-respondents took part in this research study and the questionnaires were distributed through their HRM office. Data collection was received online with the aid of Google forms. The research analyses were performed by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 22. Results indicated that performance appraisal created the most significant influence on employees’ satisfaction (β=0.278, t=3.668, p<0.05), followed by compensation (β=0.229, t=3.741, p=0.000), and lastly safety & health (β=0.180, t=2.756, p<0.05). We did not observe any significant influence with regards to the link between training and employee satisfaction (β=0.089, t=1.431, p>0.05). Finally, in the conclusion section, few suggestions to increase the level of employees’ satisfaction based on this study have been highlighted.20 1 -
PublicationBe competitive through green innovationNecessity has been identified as the main drive to innovate. Innovation can appear in product, process, and services being embark by organizations to make more profits, and to cut operational and maintenance cost. With current scenario to preserve the environment, the green innovation is considered as a good move to have better competitive advantage to the organizations. Green innovation concept should be imposed to the organizations so that they are more eco-friendly organizations. The green innovation elements promote the clean and safe environment for the community, renewable energy to less the pollution and global warming, 3R (reduce, recycle, reuse) concepts, and producing green collar workers. This paper discusses the concept of green innovation in the study, and how adoption to the organizational strategies and practices will give competitive advantage to the organizations.
