Performance analysis of heterogeneous database management system (DBMS) synchronization using message Digest 5

Currently, the Database Management System (DBMS) keeps growing and is available on various platforms. The use of various types of DBMS in a system can cause problems with limitations in the synchronization process because each DBMS only provides synchronization methods for similar DMBS. Previous research has examined heterogeneous database synchronization algorithms on mobile devices using the Message Digest 5 (MD5) method. The process of synchronization with this method is done by comparing the hash values of each record data in the source table with the data hash values in the destination table. If a different hash value is obtained, the synchronization process is based on the type of transaction that has been determined. Based on the principle of work, this algorithm requires a long synchronization time for large-scale databases because it has to check the hash values of each data record. This study examined the performance analysis of the DBMS synchronization method using MD5. The testing was performed by observing the parameters of execution time of synchronization ptocess for the MySQL DBMS and PostgreSQL types. The results showed that the execution time of the MD5 synchronization process was proportional to the number of data records that need to be synchronized. This is because the hashing process that must be done on every data record and synchronization mechanism requires all data to be sent to check and compare the hash values of each data record in the destination synchronization database even though the data has not changed.

Identifying Batik buying behaviour among generation Z in Malaysia towards the marketing strategy development for Batik entrepreneurs

Batik is considered historical traditional wear for Malaysian. The evolution of batik could be seen from the motives, colours and material. The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between several variables of batik buying behaviour among the young adults in Malaysia towards the marketing strategy development. The study aimed to identify the factors that influence Generation Z's buying behaviour towards batik products by using the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB). In this study, convenience sampling has been used to identify the buying behaviour of university students aged 19-27 years old. The data gained from the surveys is analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 28. The results of the multiple regression analysis indicate that the combination of the independent variables such as subjective norms, consumer knowledge, perceived behavioural control and product characteristics, significantly predicts the marketing strategy development. The findings of the study are expected to assist the batik entrepreneurs from Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in determining the suitable marketing strategy in the context of batik industry with the Generation Z as their target market and the need for batik businesses to focus on product quality and affordability, as well as innovative marketing strategies to attract young consumers to the batik market.

Analysis of factors relating to the relationship of asi asside breastfeeding mother in the Lhoong Puskesmas Puskesmas working area Aceh large district 2019

Breast milk (ASI) is the best natural nutrition for babies because it contains energy and substances needed during the first six months of a baby's life. However, there are times when a mother experiences problems in breastfeeding, the main obstacle is that milk production is not smooth (Saleha, 2013). Data obtained from the Lhoong Health Center in Aceh Besar District, in 2017 the target of exclusive breastfeeding was 277 people, and only 135 people gave exclusive breastfeeding (48.7%). While the number of breastfeeding mothers (infants aged 0-6 months) in the January-November 2018 period was 161 people, 92 people (57.1%) experienced fluency (57.1%), and 69 people (42.8%) were not fluent.The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the smoothness of breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers in the Work Area of Lhoong Health Center, Aceh Besar District. This research is analytic with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers of all breastfeeding infants aged 1-6 months, totaling 150 people. The sampling technique is done by simple random sampling with the number of samples obtained is 60 people. Data collection was carried out on 2-29 April 2019. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test with a significance limit of 95% (P:S0.05).The results showed there was a relationship of knowledge with the smoothness of breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers where P-value=0.001, there was an association of IMD with the smoothness of breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers where P-value=0.029, there was a correlation between frequency of breastfeeding and smoothness of breastfeeding in breastfeeding mothers where P-value=0.005, and there is a relationship between breast care and the smoothness of breast milk in nursing mothers where P-value=0.030. It is expected that health workers can be able to carry out counseling activities about the smoothness of breast milk and also the cause of non-smooth milk so that if breast milk is smooth, the milk needs for infants can be met.

The convergence of per-capita income in Aceh Province: study before and after the transfer of special autonomy funds (Otsus)

This study aims to analyze convergence of per capita income of districts/cities in Aceh Province. The study period is divided into two phases, namely the phase before the transfer of autonomous funds (2001-2007) and the phase after the transfer of Special Autonomy Fund (Otsus) in 2008. The model used is a panel data regression model that is grouped into both phases. In addition, to see convergence of per capita income between regions in Aceh Province, sigma and beta (absolute and conditional) convergence is used. The results show that, first of the sigma convergence phase analysis prior to the transfer of special autonomy fund, GRDP-per capita experienced a census indicated by the value of standard deviation that fluctuated with the downward trend, then in the phase after the transfer of funds of economic autonomy of Aceh also experienced convergence indicated by the standard deviation value fluctuates with the downward trend. Second, for the second phase beta convergence analysis, the phase before the Otsus funds transfer and phase after the transfer of Otsus funds shows that there is no convergence of GRDP-per capita but the divergence shown by the initial positive-marked PDRB-per-capita coefficient value. While the influence of other economic variables such as Capital Expenditure, Total Labor Force, and Total Factor Production in the phase before the transfer of funds Otsus affect the GDP-per-capita. While in the post-autonomous transfer phase none of the exogenous variables affect the GRDP-per-capita.

Perceptions on training functions practised in hotels in Penang

Training functions are widely needed and known for its importance in organisations all over the world. Top management needs to be committed to training functions and development activities. This is because top management plays critical role in the success or failure of any training functions. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, it is not given sufficient focus yet as it is assumed to be costly and a waste of time, but in hotel industry, training is needed very much as it involves the staff skills and performance. This study examined the background characteristics of selected hotels in Penang and the contributing factors of the improper practice of training functions in hotels.

A Survey on Intention to Use e-Wallet Among University Students in UniMAP

In this study, we look at what makes people want to utilise a digital wallet when making a purchase. A total of 327 questionnaires were filled out, allowing researchers to test hypotheses about the relationship between respondents' opinions of e-wallets' utility, simplicity of use, security, and trustworthiness. The result was found that the factors had a significant and positive relationship with the intention to use e-wallet. Nevertheless, a student prioritises the item they want to purchase and spends their e-wallet in limited of budget. The likelihood that a student will use an electronic wallet does not vary significantly with either age or gender. However, the framework presented here aims to alleviate existing consumer worries and make e-wallets useful for everyone.
