Abstract
This article reviews previous studies of geopolymer. Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is the most common type of cement in general use around the world as a basic ingredient of concrete. There are few research for an alternative binder material with no cement usage (cementless) called "geopolymer" will introduce in the machining industry. Further research will be conducted in looking for the potentiality of crumb rubber when added to the host materials of geopolymer. The process of development geopolymer will be explained. The types of base materials used in the formation of geopolymer in machining will be described in details.
