This paper presents the absorption spectra of pitaya and spinach extract adsorbed onto 10 μm and 15 μm rutile anatase TiO2. The proposed novel dyes were immersed into TiO2 film and tested on its UV-Vis absorbance spectrometer. The focus of this experiment is to characterise two dyes which are from pitaya and spinach. The fruit extract absorbs visible light which sensitizes the oxide semiconductor to lower energy with RAP-15 while RAP-10 shows higher absorption of dye volume and better visible light interaction. The dyed photo anode causes the absorption band to be broaden, this is due to the interaction of the charge transfer that is causing the oxide surface and the dye to bind.
