dc.description.abstract This project is designed and evaluated to develop the tape measurement instrument. Measuring tape is not a new thing for us. It is a high demand product in the surveyor industry. Currently, they are a lot of measuring tape designs selling in the market. This project is intended to achieve the new measuring tape design and decrease the time to assembly the product. Besides, it also learns to analyse the cost of manufacturing of the product. The CAD approach has been used to design a measuring tape and CAE, such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to identify the component capabilities and strengths. This study will include an understanding of CAD software design and perform analysis that strengthens the measuring tape at the end of this project.
