dc.description.abstract Plastic products nowadays have been leaning towards thin and light design concept. One of the way to achieve this is by reducing the wall thickness of the products. Due to this reason, technique in producing products with thin shell feature gradually increasing in demand. However, applying this feature increase the tendency of defects such as shrinkage and warpage. These defects may occur because of several factors that involved in the plastic injection moulding process. The approach used was based on the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) technique in finding the significant factor in the injection moulding process and recommended settings in minimising the warpage. The processing parameters used were packing time, cooling time, melt temperature and packing pressure for effective process. The results showed reduction of warpage in x,y and z direction. In minimising the response, RSM produce a suitable processing parameter for the part.
