Abstract
The injection moulding process has been widely used in industry to produce plastic parts of a variety of geometries and shapes. However, the difficulty in adjusting optimum process parameter setting will lead some defect on injected moulded part such as warpage. The side arm used as a case study having warpage problem during it production process in injection moulding. Hence, the work reported herein is about in minimising warpage on side arm product by optimising the process parameters using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Therefore, the melt temperature, packing pressure, mould temperature, packing time and cooling time were selected as variable parameters in reducing warpage from the injection moulding process.
