Abstract
This paper principally delineates a biosensor for glucose detection through surface modified interdigitated electrodes (IDE). An aluminum interdigitated electrodes with a 5µm gap between the fingers is fabricated using conventional fabrication process. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Hawk 3D nano-profiler are used to observe the surface morphology. The surface modification of the IDE was done by using 2%aptes, 2.5% glutaraldehyde and 2 units per ml of glucose oxidase. Finally, the device tested with different concentration of glucose concentration (1µM to 1mM) . Based on the result the sensor able to detect the glucose solution from 1µM to 100mM.
