Abstract
Travel time is important information for traffic management system which can help people to plan their travel schedule and better their workplace efficiency. Fast moving vehicle on the highway makes difficult to measure the travel time information. High capturing rate of the image sensor is needed by embedded board to capture the vehicle. The limited resource of embedded board makes problem, especially when image sensor was attached to it. There are two ports which available on Raspberry Pi 2 to check and analyze the image sensor effects to the board’s performance. Threading is a solution to improve resource utilization and reduce the image sensor latency when it attach to the embedded board. In this paper, the threading technology is applied on Raspberry Pi 2 with different image sensors via different port and the performance of every image sensor on Raspberry Pi 2 is examined.
