Abstract
Supercapacitors are high-energy electrochemical capacitors with high power density, long cycling life, fast charge-discharge response, and greater capacitance. In this paper, a new result using voltage measurement full charging for supercapacitors using the constant current charging method is presented. The detailed test procedure for 188 farads of supercapacitors manufactured by Eaton was observed in the laboratory to develop a dynamic model of a supercapacitor under a constant charging current of 6A. The model includes R-C branches built with a consideration of linear and nonlinear factors, variation temperature and effects of leakage current. The experiment was conducted with simple laboratory equipment like a constant current supply, voltage data logger and computer. The computational time required for the parameter calculation is by applying parameter identification modelling techniques tools in MATLAB/Simulink. Results were verified by analysis of comparison experimental with a simulation of the derived equivalent circuit. The longest respond time charging during the 42 V.
