The Electrical Engineering Principle book is suitable for undergraduate students in the field of electrical engineering courses in order to understand teh basic concept and explanation of electrical systems. The contents of this book are divided into five (5) chapters. The chapters are covered all tpoic in electrical engineering principle. For example, in chapter 1 students will expose to the introduction of electrical system, the basic concept and the explanation of per unit in power system. Whereas, the explanation in each chapter are including the topic of magnetism and electromagnet, single phase transformer, three phase transformer and also the AC and DC machine fundamental. The examples of question and solutions are also explained very well together in each chapter so that the students will be able to understand more details. This book also consists the questions and problems at the end of each chapter which is to examine student understanding towards of the topic. The Electrical Engineering Pinciple is very useful and very appropriate for electrical engineering students to enhance their understanding of basic concept in electrical system. It is also suitable to be used as a guide in fulfills their need in learning process.

Various international standards have specified the requirements and applications of low voltage protection devices. This paper aims to study those requirements and application guidelines for the purpose of designing and constructing suitable protective equipment of Class A category. In this case, Surge Protector Category A is focussed because the service entrance Surge Protection Device (SPD) provides the first line of defence against electrical transients for a facility by diverting high energy, outside surges to ground and it also lowers the energy to a level that can be handled by downstream devices closer to the load. A surge protector is a device that keeps power levels constant against power line fluctuations which cause by lightning mainly and if is not used, fluctuations in the power line can potentially have drastic effects on the equipment such as computer. Therefore the proper coordination of surge protective device specified for Class A category is required to avoid damaging SPDs installed on distribution panels or locally at vulnerable equipment. Class A protection is a protection between the outlets and the long branch circuits and equipment.

Electric power quality is an aspect of power engineering that has been with us since the inception of power systems. The measurement of the quality of the electric power in a network is therefore becoming an urging need especially in a deregulated electricity market. In the paper, the types of power quality variation are described and the method of characterizing each type with measurements are presented. By using the advances of power quality monitoring equipment and tools, analysis on power quality measurement result are described. The increased amount af data being collected requires more advanced analysis tools. power quality monitoring has advanced from strictly problem solving to ongoing monitoring of system performance.

This paper describes the idea of the electrical machine design perspective whose aim is latter on to design and development of the copper and aluminum rotor for induction motors to improve the operational efficiency. The study concerns to investigate rolling and hard direction using grain oriented M5 electrical steel material. The result shows very clear idea for identification of rolling and hard direction. It also presented the difference of rolling and hard direction in steel strips based on voltage applied. This paper will provide a contribution to electrical machine design segment and will be a systematic knowledge base for researchers.

A study on voltage sag in industry system with adjustable speed drive
The awareness of electric power quality has increased over the past decade as electronic equipment has become more susceptible to power disturbances. The most distruptive power disturbances is voltage sags. Voltage sags produce an important effect on the behavior of adjustable speed drives (ASD's). Tripping of ASD is one of the greatest voltage sag problem, causing motor to stop with the resulting loss of time and production, or damaged equipment may cause significant economical loses. This paper is focused on the effect of voltage sags on adjustable speed drive (ASD) which commonly used in industry system. Voltage sags are normally used described by magnitude variation and unbalanced (asymmetry). These factors are important to determine the behavior of ac motor drive during sags. A VSI (Voltage Source Inverter) driving a three-phase induction motor is analyzed through digital simulation. Simulation on sag depth and three types of voltage sags which are based on voltage sag classification, with an emphasis on the changes dc bridge voltage, rms inverter voltage and motor speed were done. Thus, voltages and speed measurement are obtained. Simulation result clearly show that the different types of sags and sag depth would cause dc-link voltage variation and finally result in motor speed changes.
