Abstract
Europium is used as an activator in phosphors to generate the red component of white light, but there is concern about its’ cost in the current market. Herein, Al3+ is used to minimise the amount of Eu3+ activators needed in LiEu(1-x)Alx(WO4)2 (x=0, 0.15, 0.30, 0.45, 0.60, 0.75 and 0.95).
