Abstract
This project is mainly aimed to optimize of drone design using sustainable analysis and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) method. Therefore, several objectives need to be achieved. Firstly, to evaluate a new improvement of drone design using the Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA). Thus, research in the previous journal about drone and DFMA was studied to understand the design of drone and decided which method to implement in DFMA methodology. The method of DFMA used for gaining the data is from the reassembled the existing drone. From the data achieved, it can be classified which the component needs to study for improvement. Data will be analyzed to generate a new concept design of drone. Secondly, another objective is to analyze environment impact factor for new improvement drone design using sustainable design analysis. Life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted by using SolidWorks 2016 to evaluate environmental impacts of the existing design and compare with new improvement design. Besides that, the third objective to evaluate a new improvement of drone design using dynamic analysis by using ABAQUS software to analysis on mechanical and kinematic such as displacement, acceleration, and strains.
