Abstract
A compact slotted heptagonal Ultrawideband (UWB) textile-based SNG (Single-Negative) metamaterial unit cell with truncated ground plane for breast cancer detection is presented in this paper. The overall dimensions of 30x30x3.34 mm3, covering a bandwidth of range between 1 and 15 GHz is obtained. MNZ (Mu-Near-Zero) and ENG (Epsilon-Negative) characteristics exhibited by the proposed MTM provides an effective platform for breast cancer detection.
