Abstract
The grounding system is one of the important parts of the electrical system to give a protection during fault or lightning occurs. The other purpose of grounding system is to protect human electrical appliance and building from electrical shock due to electrical fault or lightning occur. Nowadays, there are two grounding system methods that have been used widely. The first method is known as a Three-Pin method or Fall Potential Method and secondly called Four-Pin Method. The 4-Pin method consists of two methods which are Wenner Method and Schlumberger Method. Besides, the uses of paddy husk ash are to find the effect of paddy husk ash to the grounding material. There are two grounding electrodes used in this project, copper electrode, and galvanised-steel electrode. With two different grounding materials and two different mediums, the analysis shown below will clearly show which method and which grounding material is better to use in the industry.
