Abstract
The crucial problem that often occurs in meso-scale injection molding product is producing high precision and accuracy in final finish product. The objectives of this study is to find the most significant parameter in injection molding process for dental abutment and optimize the injection molding process parameter by using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The RSM was used to set off designed experiments to obtain an optimal response and optimize the quality by deciding the most suitable and accurate injection molding process parameter. There are three factors selected which is melt temperature, filling pressure and filling time. Based on the results, the optimum values suggested by the software were melt temperature (161.96c), filling pressure (100 Mpa) and filling time (5.29s). The findings show that the application of optimisation work in this research offers the best quality of meso-scale moulded part.
