Abstract
Diabetes had been known for a long time as diseases that still do not have cures and the numbers of people diagnosed with diabetes are increasing extremely nowadays. There are two types of diabetes, diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. Usually, a patient suffers from diabetes mellitus that has whether type I who depends on insulin or type II, which is non-dependent of insulin. In this study, a fuzzy expert system is developed in order to get the information about the risk percentage for getting diabetes. Graphic user interface (GUI), has also been developed to assist medical practitioners who are not familiar with fuzzy logic theory to understand and use this system. By using this developed fuzzy expert system, diagnosis result can be known within few seconds and thus can save the diagnosis time.
