By knowing the issues surrounding time synchronization and the solution provided by IEEE 1588v2, a standard for network-based timing synchronization is introduced. Researcherscan solve the barriers to leverage cost-effective IP networks and handle the increased bandwidth anticipated from 3G and 4G services.
