PublicationThe development of student outcome in Al Hikmah aspects in the era of industrial revolution 4.0(AIP Publishing, 2023)
;Mohamad Khairi Haji Othman ; ;Mohd. Faiz Mohd Yaakob ;Mohd Sofian Omar FauzeeNormah ZakariaAt present, too many questions arise regarding the assessment of student and educational outcomes. Educational assessment in the country today focuses more on the academic achievement of students which ignores other developments. Based on the findings of the Board of School Inspectors, it was found that the Malaysian Education Quality Standards in most schools still do not practice sustainable leadership, resulting in the failure of student outcomes as intended through the National Education Philosophy. This is evident when the country is burdened with issues such as low thinking skills, moral collapse among adolescents, lacking of soft skills and so on. The issue of measuring student outcome is a hotly debated issue but lacks evidence from an empirical point of view. Based on research on previous studies, it is found that there is still a lack of studies to measure student outcome. Therefore, a study to form a profile of student outcome indicator based on Ibn Miskawaih's theory of thinking, especially in the aspect of Al Hikmah should be conducted. Quantitative method with descriptive survey study design through the distribution of questionnaires to respondents was used. A total of 209 Form 4 students were selected from 7 schools in the state of Perlis. Based on the al-Hikmah factor, the four factors that are suitable for use are intelligence, memory, rationality and smart. As a result of exploratory factor analysis (EFA), it was found that al-Hikmah factors have been successfully discovered and are suitable for use. -
PublicationPath of nationalism in the formation of Malaysian politics( 2024)
;Ku Hasnan Ku Halim ;Ahmad Mujahid Ahmad ZaidiThe concept of nationalism is said to have existed in the 12th century, however, this ideology only emerged as an influential political ideology in the 19th century when some colonies began to demand independence from the colonialists. Scholars of western political thought consider the year 1648 to be the turning point for the presence of nationalism as a political ideology. This was evidenced in that year by an agreement that brought an end to the 30 -year war in Europe which had implications for the birth of the nation -state concept. The treaty was the Treaty of Westphalia, in which the treaty did not affect the rights of a nation-state, and national sovereignty (Baradat; 1984). This survey study was conducted to examine the journey of nationalists in Malaysia as well as the conflicts that occurred in the formation of Malaysians through several previous studies. The results of this study can be used as a reference to determine the best concept to discuss the aspects of nationalism in Malaysia.33 2
