PublicationTeacher's view on leadership style and job satisfaction handling online learning during COVID-19 in Malaysia( 2023-06-12)Othman N.Z.The covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on teachers and students contributing to stress among them. Among the challenges for teachers when conducting teaching and learning activities from home are internet accessibility, teaching aids, support from parents and school leadership concerns. The leadership aspect is seen to be one of the challenges among teachers and this needs to be examined at the leadership level. Therefore, the role of the leader is important to ensure that all leadership approaches that can be highlighted can provide satisfaction among teachers. This study aimed to look at teachers' views on the leadership style practiced and the level of job satisfaction of teachers when conducting online teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 102 teachers in Penang were selected using simple random sampling technique as respondents in this study. The findings of the study show that all three leadership styles practiced are at a high level. Transformational leadership styles obtained a mean value of 4.08, while transformational and laissez-faire leadership styles obtained the same mean value of 3.71. The findings also show that job satisfaction is at a high level with a mean value of 4.04. The findings of this study are expected to be used as a guide to administrators, teachers and also the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE).

Individuals with social media addiction are often overly concerned about social media and are driven by an uncontrollable urge to log on to and use social media. This paper will discuss about the effect of addictive social media use among teenagers. In addition, matters relating to social media use among teenagers will also be discussed, such as the factors and impact of social media addiction. This is necessary because all parties, especially parents, need to play their role so that this problem becomes worse.
