The establishment of USIM was started in 1998 in which the discussion on the establishment of the fully government Islamic University. The establishment elevates the quality of Islamic studies at a high level in this country. To further enhance the image KUIM internationally, KUIM been converted into Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) on 1st February 2007. Now USIM continue to drive success in the areas of teaching, research and writing. Campus Development continues to give comfort to the students and faculty to go further especially the core areas of Islamic studies.
