Abstract
Recently, numerous methods had been proposed in order to normalize the luminosity and contrast variation. In this study, a new method based on statistical data was proposed. Firstly, the mean and standard deviation were calculated and image divided into three regions; background, foreground and noise (luminosity and contrast). Finally, the Signal Noise Ratio (SNR) and Global Contrast Factor (GCF) were calculated and demonstrate an effective and efficient result in order to normalize the luminosity and contrast problem.
