PublicationOnline solution focused therapy counselling for clients with mental health issues (anxiety and depression)( 2023-06-12)This paper deals with the new approach of conducting solution focused therapy for client with anxiety and depression. Online counselling is a new approach that must be taken into consideration. Despite the traditional principle of counselling, online counselling goes beyond than that in providing counselling help at any time and place. The distance between counsellor and client is no longer an issue. Thus, it benefits clients with mental health issues where they can have the session at their own comfort, time, and style. Solution focused therapy counselling aim to have a brief, quick and cost-effective counselling is well suited the online platform. An online and quick solution therapy treatment alternative shall be made accessible for more people to help them manage their anxiety and depression effectively.

PublicationAssessment of patient satisfaction in a healthcare setting; Doctor-patient communication issues( 2020-06-17)This study aims to better recognize patient satisfaction in healthcare settings about communication issues. There are affiliation styles and control styles used to explore the effectiveness of patient satisfaction. This study was conducted among outpatient clinics at Hospital Seberang Jaya, Penang. Data analysis was conducted using statistical package for social sciences students SPSS 13. Purposive sampling is used to obtain a total of 115 patients responded to this survey. Pearson correlation used in this study and show that affiliation style had significant positive relationships with patient satisfaction. While no relationship between control communication style and patient satisfaction. This study contributes to the development of health services in Malaysia.

PublicationInsights into the Quality Control and Safety Assessment of Ficus Detoidea Varieties( 2023-06-09)
;Jamil A. ;Khairuddin N.H.An important aspect in herbal studies involved the understanding and evaluation on the quality and safety assessment of the raw materials before proceeding to herbal drug development process. In herbal standardization, the quality and safety assessment of herbal drugs offer an insight on the condition and handling of the raw material during the pre- and post-harvesting process. Thenceforth, a study was conducted to evaluate and construe the quality and safety assessment of four different varieties of Ficus deltoidea which were the Ficus deltoidea var. kunstleri, var. delotidea, var. terengganuensis and var. angustifolia. A series of quality control test and safety assessment were conducted on the leaf of Ficus deltoidea consist of total ash, moisture content, aflatoxins, total microbial content and heavy metal analysis. Overall, the analysis elucidated acceptable quality control results, with no aflatoxins and food pathogens were detected from all the samples, providing an insight on how the raw materials were handled, priorly. To summarized, the findings obtained from these studies showed that all the Ficus deltoidea varieties complied to proper pre- and post-harvesting handling process and are suitable for further herbal drug development study. -

;Bakar A.R.A.In modern era, existing technologies have gone through several phases of innovation and development in line with today's demand. These changes in positive manners facilitate and ease us in many things that were previously thought difficult to solve. As these technologies progress, social media has emerged as one of many preferable platforms of communication in today's society. However, in the light of today's obsession with social media, society particularly tends to apprehends in negative cultures such as cyberbullying. In the past, bullying behavior occurred only at certain ages in certain places such as among teenagers, women, at work or school. At that time bullying could be seen either physically or verbally compared to today's approach attributed significantly with the use of social media due to the modernization of technologies. Many psychoanalysis issues resulting from these irresponsible individuals throwing words at the cyberbullying victims are becoming a millennial disease. Evidences prove that there is no discrimination in cyberbullying as it applies to all individuals regardless of their status and background. Hence, it is time for the government to intervene and address this issues arising from the act of bullying. -
PublicationEnhancing tourist's experience in tourism by developing of augmented reality on Penang's street art( 2023-04-24)
;En J.N.T. ;Mokhzar Z.A.This study aims to enhance tourist's experience in tourism by the development of an Augmented Reality on Penang's street art. The problem statement of this project is the lack of information on street art and facing the difficulty to preserve street art. The objectives of this study are to preserve the cultural heritage of Penang's street art through Augmented Reality and developing an animated augmented reality with text, music, and graphics. This hope helps in educating and enhancing tourist's experience with Penang's street art. The product is developed through Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and Unity3D. The methodology of this research project is qualitative and uses Alessi and Trollip Model as a reference in the development of the project. An interview was conducted with few of multimedia expert that relates to animation, augmented reality and design. The results show that the research objective of this study was successfully achieved. Augmented Reality application provides a new experience for tourists in their search of street art in Penang to learn more about the history of Penang and to experience enhanced tourism. Through the interview, the respondents were satisfied with this augmented reality application in enhancing Penang's street art. -
